Letters to the Editor
Tue, 03 Jun 2008 00:00:00 MDT Asleep at the wheel? I live near the river at the east end of Boise and have to take issue with the way our dam operators have managed the Boise River flows this spring. Since early spring, flows had been kept very low until recent warm weather has caused the river flows to jump from 800 cfs to 7,000 cfs (approaching flood stage). Carolyn Hax: What to do when a lover leaves for less
Tue, 03 Jun 2008 00:00:00 MDT Dear Carolyn: I know this makes me look like a 3-year-old, but here goes. My husband of eight years and I had a rocky marriage almost from the start, so I was not terribly surprised when he left me for someone else. Here's the "shallow" part: His new GF is seriously overweight, lives in greasy jeans, has a bad complexion and long, unwashed hair. She has two children but never married, and lives off public assistance while working part-time at a convenience store. While I'm certainly not a 10, I'm a professional who works hard to stay trim and neat. |
