Twice now, the Hailey indie-rockers have offered their help raising money for the grass-roots organization, which fixes up old bikes and gives them to children, refugees, the homeless and other underprivileged Treasure Valley residents. (BBP also has a nonprofit cooperative bike shop in the works.) The Finns lead a four-band lineup on Thursday, May 29, at the Visual Arts Collective, joined by Portland's Jared Mees and the Grown Children and locals Low-fi and Golden Spun. Proceeds from the concert will go to the Boise Bicycle Project, which uses monetary donations to purchase tires and tubes and cover operational costs. |
